Plaster has an ethereal nature, it is fragile and has the propensity to easily dissolve. Folkestone Harbour Station, an historical site is fast falling into decline. The very nature of its dereliction continues to both inspire and capture her heart.

Ruth searches out ruins, where nature and culture vie with each other. In this piece of work Ruth attempts to 'repair' the railway. The material used, encapsulates the fragility of human life, the station and its branch line.

I was privileged to meet a lovely family from Maidstone, Darren, Linda, Aileen, Conor and Louis. They visited the project on Sunday 7th August.

Aileen, aged 6, drew a delightful picture of Louis, her dog, in my visitors' book. Louis is a rescue dog from Malta!! Here he is with, Aileen, Conor, and their dad, all listening to Dame Clara Butt, 'The Lost Chord', a 1918 recording.
